Foundation agility introduces the dog and handler to a variety of situations and challenges that boost their confidence and develop their working relationship. Skills taught involve connecting with your dog, shadow handling, focus, target seeking and increased energy.
Beginning agility classes build on skills learned in Foundations Agility It adds complexity to foundational skills and works on sequencing 2-3 obstacles. In beginning agility 2, students learn other obstacles including contacts (teeter, A-frame, dog walk).
Intermediate Agility classes build on skills learned in previous agility classes. Participants become skilled in performing all standard agility obstacles and learn a variety of handling techniques while focusing on the dog's line.
Prerequisite: Foundations and Beginning Agility 1 and 2. New students must book a 30 minute private lesson before registering for a class to ensure proper placement.
Advanced Agility classes are offered multiple times a week with no more than 6 students per class. Each session is six weeks long and involves challenging course designs that prepare dog and handler for Masters, Premier, and International competition standards.
