Friday, April 18th: Snooker Clinic and Run Throughs
Are you interested in Agility Games but hesitant to enter a class because you're not sure how they work? Register for our SNOOKER clinic on April 18 from 5pm - 7 pm. You can also register for Snooker course run-throughs. You will get 2 tries at the Snooker course for only $10.
Snooker is a dog agility game where the dog and handler work together to score points by completing obstacles on a course against the clock. This game tests the handler's strategic skills. In this clinic, Kristin will help handlers learn how to plan course strategies that work for you and your dog. We will also review the rules of the game.
Snooker is a class offered in UKI, USDAA, NADAC and CPE agility.

Clinics include:
- Loose Leash Walking - Learn the basics for loose leash walking including:
* Different forms of leash walking
* Different tools and methods that can be used
* How to work around distractions.
- Trialing Basics - New to Agility Trials?? This clinic will help you and your dog prepare for you trialing. What to expect, course plan and walk-through, dog's line, and having FUN!!!
- Agility Transition Zones - The point when a dog must surpass it's handler and move independently to perform obstacles is the transition zone. Many dogs are "sticky" and lack the confidence to "go on". In this clinic we will help you help your dog work independently without hesitation.
- Distance Handling - Learn techniques to improve your dog's independence and encourage distance.
- Obstacle Discrimination - Train your dog to listen to the difference between obstacle names.
- Verbal Cues - Learn how to train verbal cues and how to proof them for different situations.
- AKC FAST (Fifteen And Send Time) - Learn how to plan a course and practice distant work.
- Weave Poles for Beginners - For dogs not yet weaving 6 poles.
- Advanced Weaves - For dogs that are weaving 12 poles. Focus on building speed, difficult entries and exits, building independence.
- International Course Handling -Learn how to handle the distance, speed, layering, and directional changes that set International courses apart. Taught by Kristin Sittner

Proofing Weave Poles
In this class students will work on proofing their weave poles with different entries and exits. You will work on weave entries with speed and in sequences.
**PREREQUISITE: Dogs must have 6 - 12 independent weave poles.

Mastering Jumping
This class will focus on start and finish jump behaviors and will include:
- Training your dog proper take off points for a variety of jumps.
- Dogs will work on collection and safe jumping techniques.
- Handlers will work on timely and appropriate jumping ques for dogs to respond to.
- Differentiating verbal ques will also be taught for some.
**PREREQUISITE
Dogs must have prior agility training and be sequencing.

Introduction to Nose Work
This class introduces dogs to the basics of scent work, building confidence and focus through nose-driven activities. Dogs will learn to search for specific scents using positive reinforcement, developing problem-solving skills and teamwork with their handler. This course is open to dogs who have completed a basic manners or puppy class and is suitable for those looking to engage their dog in a mentally stimulating activity or lay the groundwork for future nose work training.
PREREQUISITE:
Basic obedience is required.
Novice and Advanced Rally Classes and Practice
Taught by our experienced AKC instructor, we now offer Novice and Advanced Rally classes.
Have experience and just want to practice? Register for one or more of our practice sessions. Both Novice and Intermediate courses will be set. You can practice under the guidance of our Rally instructor.
